About me

I have always been passionate about horses, I regularly helped out at the local riding school and when I was 13 years old I was lucky enough to get my horse Jack whom I still own. During my teenage years we competed though pony club and also enjoyed days out on the hunting field. Through school and university, I also worked and rode exercise at numerous yards gaining experience in and out of the saddle with a variety of horses including riding school and RDA ponies, show jumping horses, hunting horses, and point to point and national hunt racehorses.

My passions lead me to the interest in equine dentistry and the importance of a comfortable and well balanced mouth. I enrolled  on the BSc (Hons) Equine Dental Science program at Hartpury College. Through my studies my fascination grew and I wanted to promote a greater understanding for the need of equine dentistry and continue my education in this area. I graduated with BSc (Hons) Equine Dental Science in 2012 after three years of studying alongside BAEDT members. After graduating I spent time training with Mark Thorne BAEDT and attending regular practical training days run by the BAEDT to continue my professional development. In March 2015 I passed the British Equine Veterinary Association (BEVA) and British Veterinary Dental Association (BVDA) practical examination to become a full member of the BAEDT, and BEVA and BVDA approved.
